What we know about you, why, where it's stored, and how to take it all back or erase it all.

What we collect

Two things, and nothing else.

Your email address — to create your account, sign you in and let you recover your password. It is the only personal data we ask you for: no name, no phone number, no postal address.

Your use of the service — the date and reason for each billed action, so that your credit history can be verified.

The site uses no advertising cookies and no audience trackers. The only cookie set is used to keep you signed in: it is necessary for the site to work, which is why no banner is shown to you.

Your brands and your copy are not “collected”

Your brand profiles and the ads you write are not data we gather about you. They are your documents, stored in your account, like files in a drawer. We keep them so you can find them again — that is all we do with them.

Let's be frank, because it's the question everyone asks without putting it in writing: technically, we have access to this database. That is true of every software publisher, and no process can remove it without making the analysis impossible: to assess a piece of copy, you have to read it.

What binds us is therefore not a technical feat, but the four lines below. They are part of the contract between us.

What we don't do, and won't do

We don't read what you write. No one on our side opens your brands or your ads. The only two exceptions: if you ask us for help and we need to look in order to answer you, or if the law requires us to.

We don't use it for anything else. Not to train a model, not to compile statistics on the content, not to feed any commercial activity of our own. Including if we otherwise operate a brand in the same sector as yours.

We neither sell nor share it. With no one, ever, in any form — raw, aggregated or anonymized.

You can leave with it, and erase everything. At any time, without notifying us and without having to give a reason. The buttons are in your account.

What happens to the copy you write

This is the most important point on this page, so here it is plainly: when you run an analysis, the copy concerned and your brand profile are sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the artificial intelligence model. Without this transfer, the analysis is impossible.

Anthropic processes this data on our behalf, under its business offering. Under the terms applicable to that offering, submitted content is not used to train its models.

Nothing is sent until you click. Writing, proofreading, viewing your approved scripts: none of these actions makes your copy leave our servers.

Who else processes your data

Anthropic — AI-powered text analysis
The submitted ad copy and the profile of the brand concerned. Hosting: United States.
Neon — Database and account management
Email address, brands, approved scripts, credit history. Hosting: European Union — Frankfurt, Germany (AWS eu-central-1).
Vercel — Website hosting
Technical connection logs. Hosting: TO COMPLETE once the site is live.

We sell no data, share none with any advertiser, and pass it on to no one other than these providers.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. We keep nothing “just in case”: deleting your account erases your brands, your scripts and your history.

The only exceptions are the accounting records related to your payments, which the law requires us to keep.

Your rights, and how to exercise them

If you reside in the European Union, the GDPR gives you the right of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. We have made sure you don't have to ask anyone's permission:

Access and correct — everything we know about you is visible and editable in your account, page by page.

Take it with you — the “download a backup” button on the Account page exports all your brands to a readable file.

Erase — the “delete my account” button, at the bottom of the Account page, erases everything permanently, without going through us.

For any other request, write to contact@runteardown.com. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can refer the matter to the data protection authority of your country — in France, the CNIL.

Transfers outside Europe

Teardown LLC is registered in Wyoming, United States, and some of our providers are established outside the European Union. These transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, provided for this purpose.
